About Yuzeum

2025

Rookie collector Yize Cheng faced a frustrating problem right off the bat: after purchasing a coveted sports card online, he waited over 30 days before his flight from China to the US, only to be forced to cancel and refund the order because the seller was traveling and couldn’t ship it. He realized the traditional collecting experience was limited. At Yale, he shared this frustration with his classmate Sonia Duan, and together they launched Yuzeum: a platform designed beyond physical barriers. Since then, the Yuzeum team strives to empower creators and their communities, transforming how collectibles are discovered, owned, enjoyed and shared.

Today

As a young startup, we are focusing our first steps alongside indie game developers. We admire and respect their interactive creativity that make fans eager to stay connected long after a game ends.

Yuzeum lets developers seamlessly turn existing art into official, interactive digital collectibles, bypassing the upfront costs and supply chain hurdles of physical merchandise. Creators gain reliable revenue from initial releases and secondary trading, while fans get a dedicated "You-Museum" to truly own and interact with the characters they love. By solving these challenges for indie developers first, we are laying the foundation to empower all creators to build lasting, borderless connections with their communities.

Mission

Empowering Creators, Engaging Fans

Our mission is to empower global IP creators to innovate and monetize in the digital age, enabling mainstream users to truly own, display, interact with, and trade digital collectibles with zero barriers to entry.

Vision

Building Everyone's Digital Identity Museum

We see a future where Yuzeum builds a digital identity museum for everyone—it's not just about collecting, but creating a digital living space to continuously converse with beloved characters and establish deep emotional connections.

We grow with our peers — independent game developers.

Most platforms show up once a studio already has an audience. We'd rather show up before that — when a project is still a few dozen wishlists on itch.io, and every supporter still feels like a personal one.

From itch.io, to Kickstarter, to Steam — we build alongside your timeline, not around it.

Badges for the players who found you first

Your earliest supporters are the ones who took a chance on an unfinished game. Give them something that proves it — a verifiable, collectible badge tied to the moment they showed up.

Kickstarter

Tiered blind boxes as backer rewards

Backer tiers are already a kind of collecting. We turn that instinct into a real reward structure — rarity tiers, surprise variants, and a release moment worth sharing — without adding a single SKU to your fulfillment list.

Steam & Beyond

Life after launch

Once your game has shipped, the story doesn't have to end with the credits. Interactive 3D collectibles give your characters a life after launch — something players keep, keep playing with, and keep showing off, long after they've finished the game.

We understand what players actually want, because most of us are players first. Not a wallet to manage. Not a chart to watch. Something that feels like it belongs to them — proof they were early, a reason to come back, a character they're a little bit attached to.

That's the bar we hold ourselves to in every partnership: would a real fan want this, or does it just look good in a pitch deck?

From your first player to your hundred thousandth — we're building the part that comes after launch.
